Yoooo, guys i NEED to talk about YALA slowed by QMIIR, DJ Zarek & Irokz because this sound has completely taken over my life and i am not even slightly mad about it, like where did this come from and why does it feel like it was made specifically for my 2am situationship era???
for those who haven’t heard it yet, first of all, what are you doing with your life but basically QMIIR, DJ Zarek and Irokz took YALA and slowed it down to this hypnotic pace and the result is literally one of the most atmospheric sounds to ever hit TikTok.
what i love most about slowed versions done RIGHT is that they completely transform the energy of a track. this isn’t just slowing down a song for the sake of it, the whole feeling shifts. what was originally a vibey, upbeat record suddenly becomes this deep, cinematic experience.
TikTok has been EATing this sound up for good reason. the way people are using it for their edits, their fits, their moody travel clips, it just WORKS for everything. it’s one of those sounds that somehow fits any vibe you’re going for.
DJ Zarek keeps the structure so clean throughout, the transitions don’t feel forced at all, and Irokz’s delivery comes through so much more textured and intentional at this slower pace. the fact that they released slowed versions tells me they knew exactly what they were doing and they knew TikTok was going to run with it ðŸ˜ðŸ’€
if this sound hasn’t shown up on your FYP yet just know the algorithm is doing you dirty and you need to go find it manually. search it. stream it. put it on your next video. let it play at midnight with your earphones in and just feel it. you can thank me later
@irokzmusic Sadie or me ? 😂👀 YALA! Out soon w/ @DJ Zarek (EDIT BY ME)
YALA slowed is not just a trending sound, it’s a whole mood and a whole moment and i’m living in it until further notice 🌙
